Scot Seats appointed Dyena Acceleration Recorder Distributor

Scot Seats have just been appointed as distributors for the Dyena Acceleration Recorder (DaacR). The device has been developed by James Glover Systems and provides information on a vessels position, performance and shock loads.

The portable data logger is approximately the size of a mobile phone and can be fitted in any position in a vessel for simple analysis of a boats impact exposure.  Shock loads are recorded alongside GPS data such as position, speed, heading and time which provides a complete record of the trial.

Scots Seats Managing Director, Jonathan Young commented, “This product will prove a valuable addition to our shock mitigation seating range.   The effects of whole body vibration (WBV) can be quite serious for those who deal with high speed craft either professionally or for leisure and our products aim to reduce the impact.  With the Dyena Acceleration Recorder we can measure the reduction in impact exposure with the shock mitigation seating.”

All the data from the DaccR is synchronised to GPS time, and the results can be overlaid for comparison on a graph or map, enabling individual craft characteristics to be understood as well as measuring for shock impacts in different locations.

The product will be available to view on the Scot Seats stand at the Seawork exhibition 25-27th June on stand A183 where data collected can also be viewed.
