Scot Seats add to their Shock Mitigation Seating range

Wide Jockey SeatScot Seats have added to their range of Shock Mitigation Seating with the S2 & S3 wide jockey seats. The seats give the perfect balance between the jockey and helmsman style seat.  Designed primarily for high speed craft and RIBS, the seats have also been specified for cabin style boats. Based on the S2 & S3 standard jockey seats, these wider versions enable people to use the seat as a traditional jockey style seat while also allowing them to sit back in a fuller seat.  The seats offer users the most comfort yet for jockey style seating for marine craft.

The seats are all designed with a 150mm progressively damped shock mitigation system and 3 stage adjustable damper allowing for differing weights of users.  The S2 and S3 can be adjusted by 50mm and have automatic body mass index compensation.

All Scot Seats are manufactured in their facility in Fenwick, Scotland using marine grade anodised aluminium and stainless steel to enable the products to best cope with the harsh sea environment.  The seats are upholstered in Toughtec material, which is anti-slip and hard wearing as well as UV and water resistant, but can be upholstered in marine vinyl of your choice or even leather.

All the seats have a top grab handle and compact foot print GRP mounting POD.  Additional storage is also available as a hatch can be built into the POD.

Scot Seats are all made to specific customer requirements and there are many optional extras available to enhance the range of seats including side mounted or front passenger grab handles or side support wings.  The seats can also be mounted on a tracked system for easy adjustment or easy removal giving flexibility to a vessel’s use. Custom embroidery can also be supplied to match the livery of the boat and protective waterproof seat covers keep them in perfect condition.

For military and high specification use, Scot Seats will also provide MITIGATOR Military Spec mitigation foam to further reduce impact.

The seats were originally designed for a particular client request, but have proved very popular that they will now available as part of the range from Scot Seats. They will be available to view on the Scot Seats stand at DSEI in September.
