Scot Seat launch S2H bucket seat at METS 2016

Scot Seats has developed a new bucket style seat following a request from a military customer who is already using Scot Seats Shock Mitigation Jockey Seats. This new S2H bucket style seat is an evolution of the hugely popular S2H helmsman seat.

The customer was looking for a seat designed for a more aggressive use similar to a race boat style of seat; for high speed craft capable of 70+knts and to be used in extreme conditions for fast interception.

The new S2H bucket seat has 150mm of suspension travel coming from the progressively damped FOX float damper with infinite adjustment for user weight and height adjustment as standard. The seat top is a lightweight composite shell and is available in GRP/Kevlar, Carbon/Kevlar or Carbon variants offering unrivalled support and comfort for the most extreme operators and the fastest boats.

The S2H bucket seat will provide users with comfort and safety whilst at sea, in addition to offering the feeling of all round protection even in the most extreme conditions. The seats can be fitted with a safety harnesses for added security.

Throughout the design and development stages, Scot Seat was able to save valuable time and resources, by utilising their in-house test centre. The new centre which they developed earlier this year allows them to perform a number of tests including pull tests, allowing Scot Seats to continue to develop products keeping them at the forefront of protecting people while at sea in the most extreme conditions.

The new seat will be debuted on the Scot Seat KPM Marine stand 03.341 at the Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) 2016 which runs from 15-17 November in Amsterdam. Scot Seats will be able to demonstrate this product along with their full range of boat seats, and rail systems which will be on the stand.
