Scot Seat Group sign up to Made in Britain campaign

With confusion over quality and safety markings on foreign imported goods consumers often and unclear about the origins of their product.  The Made in Britain marque is accredited to businesses that sell goods manufactured in the UK and Scot Seats are proud to have joined the scheme.

Scot Seat was founded in Fenwick, Ayrshire in 2000 and since that time has grown considerably, now employing 48 members of staff, manufacturing seating for all types of transportation from vans, commercial vehicles, military vehicles, trains, buses and specialist shock mitigation seating for the marine industry.

The Group incorporates Scot Seat Direct Ltd and Scot Seat KPM Marine. Scot Seat Direct Ltd is the market leader in seating manufacture for commercial vehicles, buses, trains, fire engines and military use.  While Scot Seat KPM Marine provide specialist shock mitigation seats for use by rescue services, military operators, police forces as well as commercial boat operators. Overall Scot Seats make approximately 15,000 commercial seats a year as well as numerous customised specialist seating and mounting systems.

Scot Seats have a philosophy of training staff and apprentices from within.   In-house skills range from metal fabrication, joinery, and upholstery, spray painting/coating and composite manufacture enabling the company to facilitate both small and large orders to customers’ specific requirements.    Scot Seats use a chain of local and UK based subcontractors and key suppliers that are essential to the success of their business.
